Referral Hub

Referral Hub by Fuzion Group is a web portal where finance professionals refer clients to specialist providers and track every referral through to completion. It was first built in Lovable, and grew quickly to multiple user types, role-based dashboards and automated emails.

The Lovable prototype proved the idea fast, and that was exactly what it was for. Taking it into production with real brokers and client financial data was a different job: access needed to be right for multiple user types, automated emails and account features needed proper locks, referral allocation needed real control, and the dashboards had to stay fast as the data grew. None of that meant the prototype was a mistake. It meant it had done its job, and the next step was to make it production-ready.

We reviewed the app and its database to see what was working and where the real risks sat. The foundations were sound, and the product was already working for its users. Rebuilding would have cost months, so we recommended hardening and extending what was already there.

We worked through the risks in order of business impact, in a proper codebase in Fuzion Group's own repository.

We tightened database access rules across every user type, protected sensitive account and commission data, and locked every automated email and account feature to signed-in, approved users. We added proper referral allocation rules, fixed the slow and blank dashboards, and moved sensitive settings out of the code.

Alongside the hardening, we kept building: a Marketing Hub for shared resources, broker commissions at settlement, and an account switcher for people who work across multiple accounts.
